Why do I get a warning when transferring money from my traditional bank account to my TallyMoney Account?

Modified on Fri, 17 May 2024 at 02:10 PM

Some banks and building societies in the UK are part of open banking, which allows banks, third parties and technical providers to exchange customer data securely online.

Any time you make a transfer from a bank that is part of the open banking network to an institution outside the network, such as TallyMoney, your bank will advise that it cannot confirm the account holder’s details (name, sort code and account number). This may even show as a warning.

So long as you have entered your TallyMoney sort code and account number correctly, your funds will be transferred directly into your payment account. If the funds don’t appear in a few minutes, check with us by can emailing support@tallymoney.com, or calling on 0203 858 0373, or send us an in-app message.

But our FAQ on why transfers can sometimes take a little longer here.
