What is Transport Layer Security (TLS)?

Modified on Fri, 17 May 2024 at 02:42 PM

Transport Layer Security (TLS) is a widely adopted security process designed to facilitate privacy and data security for communications over the Internet.

A primary use case of TLS is encrypting the communication between web applications and servers, such as web browsers loading a website. TLS can also encrypt other communications such as email, messaging, and voice over IP (VoIP).

TallyMoney currently uses TLS version 1.2
